Muddy Roots Forest School

We offer Forest School as a homeschool enrichment program, partnering with families to encourage children to grow, explore, and engage with nature in new and meaningful ways.

HOURS: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM


Flexible Enrollment: Campers can enroll in any combination of days (Monday through Thursday) or come for the full 4-day experience!

Our Curriculum

We believe the best classroom has no walls. Our nature-based curriculum invites children to explore the world around them through hands-on learning and guided discovery. Together, we’ll investigate weather patterns, observe local critters, study soil and rocks, and identify native plants, and much more!
Children will get their hands dirty in the garden, experience plant life from seed to harvest, and explore the life cycles of insects, animals, and plants. Through these experiences, we nurture curiosity, environmental awareness, and a deep, joyful connection to the natural world.

2026-2027 Dates:

  • February 1-14: Priority Enrollment for Current Families

  • February 15: Open Enrollment begins for remaining spots. Families who have completed a tour or phone call will receive an enrollment email directly.

Enrollment in our school-year program is by invitation only. We want to ensure that Muddy Roots is the right fit for your child and family. To begin the process, we ask that you first schedule a phone call or tour with us. Once that’s complete, we’ll send you a direct link to enroll.

This approach helps us build a strong, intentional community that aligns with our values and supports every child’s success.

Program fees

Tuition is $55 per day. We offer monthly, quarterly, and annual billing options to best fit your family’s needs. Payments are due by the first day of each month unless you’ve selected a quarterly or annual plan.

There is also a one-time $55 materials fee, due at the time of enrollment. This fee covers all supplies your child will use throughout the year—including art and craft materials, writing tools, science project supplies, and more. This replaces a traditional registration fee and is non-refundable. Parents are not expected to provide materials—we’ve got it covered!
